Object Storage

ManyVector on Azure Blob Storage.

Connect ManyVector to your Azure Blob Storage container. Hot, Cool, and Archive access tiers supported. Works with Azure AD authentication and managed identities. Your vectors stay in your Azure subscription — compliant with Azure's enterprise security guarantees.

Access tiers

Hot, Cool, and Archive

Active namespaces on Hot tier for lowest latency. Rarely queried namespaces on Cool for lower storage costs. Archive tier for long-term retention with rehydration on demand.

Auth

Azure AD and managed identities

Authenticate with a managed identity, service principal, or storage account key. Assign the Storage Blob Data Contributor role to ManyVector for scoped, auditable access.

Encryption

Azure Key Vault BYOK

Customer-managed keys via Azure Key Vault. Full key rotation support with double encryption options for regulated workloads requiring FedRAMP or DoD compliance.

Regions

All Azure regions

Deploy in any Azure region. ManyVector query nodes co-located with your Blob Storage account for minimal latency. Supports Azure Government and sovereign cloud regions.

Compliance

Azure compliance coverage

Azure Blob Storage has 100+ compliance certifications including ISO 27001, SOC 2, HIPAA, and FedRAMP. Your ManyVector data inherits those guarantees by staying in your Azure subscription.

Monitoring

Azure Monitor integration

All Blob Storage operations appear in Azure Monitor and Azure Diagnostic Logs. Route to Log Analytics, Sentinel, or your SIEM for centralized visibility.

FAQ

Common questions

Which Azure Blob redundancy options does ManyVector support?

LRS (Locally Redundant), ZRS (Zone Redundant), and GRS (Geo-Redundant). LRS is lowest cost; ZRS is recommended for production; GRS for cross-region disaster recovery.

How does ManyVector authenticate with Azure Blob?

Via a service principal (client ID + secret) or Managed Identity. Managed Identity is recommended for Azure-hosted query nodes — no credentials to store or rotate.

Can I restrict ManyVector to a specific container?

Yes. Assign the Storage Blob Data Contributor role scoped to the specific container, not the entire storage account.

Does ManyVector support Azure Private Link?

Yes. Configure a Private Endpoint for your storage account and deploy ManyVector query nodes on the same VNet. All traffic stays within Azure's private network.
